Dr. Givona Sandiford | Melospeech Inc

Dr. Givona Sandiford overcame a serious diagnosis of postpartum depression to found a successful tech-based mobile speech therapy startup that is now thriving in five regions, known as Melospeech Inc., an award-winning, tech-based, mobile speech therapy startup serving at-risk infants and toddlers with disabilities across the state of California. Melospeech Inc. uses self-developed technology to increase access to speech therapy services for those in communities who would otherwise not be able to access care, while helping children learn to speak by implementing family-based supports in the child's natural home or virtual setting. She went from being on disability, unable to work because of her condition (one that affects so many women and is a silent killer) to leading a team of over 40 who are now serving communities all over California and helping infants and toddlers learn to speak daily. As a speech-language pathologist for nearly 20 years, she also holds a terminal degree in the field and is responsible for the creation of various technologies and therapies to assist the minimally verbal population with autism in learning to speak. Together with her team, Dr. Givona has had various state and government contracts with the goal of continuing to do the same nationwide.
