Kim Beak - Female Executive of the Year

Kim is Diaverum’s Quality, Compliance and Strategic Projects Director and is an active member of the UK Board. Diaverum is the market-leader renal services provider, offering life-saving treatments in 34 clinics to over 3000 patients. Kim is responsible for two critical areas: - Quality and Compliance – Kim holds full ownership for Diaverum’s Quality and Compliance agenda, ensuring that they fully and consistently comply to the UK’s stringent health and safety laws. - Strategic Projects – Kim has full ownership for all new clinic builds and mobilizations of new clinics won through a competitive tender from their competitors. Each new build/mobilization is a multimillion pound (GBP) project and highly complex involving several strategic stakeholders. Kim is an exceptional operator and is not only able to get the best out of people, but is able to operate across multiple industries and seniorities in delivering clinics. Critically, she delivers on time and within budget 100% of the time. Kim has a career in healthcare many would be envious of. She’s been purposeful in the building of her career, working in several diverse functions and roles: from Staff Nurse in high-pressure, fast-paced Accident and Emergency units, to service improvement roles and leadership roles at a number of NHS (National Health Service) Trusts. Kim uses her full experience in her day to day dealings at Diaverum meaning she’s able to engage at all levels. She’s a master collaborator and actively ensures she looks beyond her remit to ensure Diaverum, and the provision of renal care in the UK market evolves at a rapid rate, so that patients may enjoy safe treatment, a positive experience and increased choice and independence. Her mantra of ‘good isn’t good enough’ is driven throughout the organization. The Board and her colleagues thoroughly enjoy working alongside her and in all projects that she leads.
